An employee of the guardianship authorities, Lera Dvizhkova, grew up in an orphanage, so she is not indifferent to her work. Lera is irreconcilable when it comes to parental irresponsibility; people fear her visits and call her an otter behind her back. Lera supports the neighboring family - Rita and her daughter Alsu. When Rita disappears, Lera takes this tragedy as personal and does everything to find her friend as quickly as possible. She understands all the horror of an eight-year-old child: when she was the same age, her mother went missing. Now Lera is trying to do everything for the girl to save her from the orphanage.
