A neighbor of the landowner arrives to woo him. He'd like to marry his daughter. But before the suitor approaches the daughter with the proposal, he discusses his property, which includes certain meadows. The daughter, however, retorts that everyone knows that the meadows belong to them. The argument culminates in insults and the suitor's departure. However, when the daughter learns that she has just lost her groom, she forces her father to return the man.
