Mitchell Jones is a struggle father and husband, after witnessing a Terrible attack on the nation he enlists into the United States Army. After serving 4 tours he heads home to face a new country and attempt to live a normal life in the states. He is overwhelmed with flashbacks and gets diagnosed with PTSD. As Mitchell comes to turns with his disorder he finds his self loathing and feeling of survival Guilt to be too much to bare. He ends up on the streets of New York City with only the goals of meeting his basic needs. When he happens by one of his friends from his airborne platoon he is so ashamed that he surrenders to go to a church service and a PTSD support group in exchange for a shower and a meal. As Mitchell and Roberto come to turn with everything they did for this country they build a brotherhood and sisterhood for retuning souljahs.
