Electric Shadows是一部纪录片片，影片讲述了中国七八十年代西北小镇的一个普通家庭对露天电影的深切热爱，以及这个家庭与电影紧紧纠葛在一起的悲欢离合。毛大兵和江玲玲是在看露天电影中渡过的童年。在那个年代，举国上下都沉浸在对电影的迷恋之中。露天电影为老百姓，特别是大兵和玲玲带来无数的梦想和快乐。弟弟四岁时，玲玲带他去看电影发生意外，弟弟不幸夭折。 悲痛使妈妈与后父对玲玲产生了误会与恨……
