追赶江南妈妈是一部片，这部剧提出了韩国社会中很现实的子女教育问题。家住江北的敏珠一个人含辛茹苦拉扯着儿子过日子。所幸儿子镇宇是个争气的孩子，不需参加任何补习班一直都是全校的第一名，敏珠为此感到自豪。然而一次英语竞赛中，镇宇的成绩还不如在江南区排名全校20名的敏珠同学秀美的女儿。敏珠感到了问题的严重性……

Hyun Min Joo and her son Choi Jin Woo moved to Seoul (Gang Nam district) for the advanced education and to have a better chance to be accepted into High School of Science. They must get used to this new environment with the highest education rate in the country.
