He was a mere worker but he was a true believer in American values, capitalism, free enterprise and private property. Doesn't he live in a comfortable house with a host of modern appliances? Doesn't he own a share of the company he works for? What he had not expected was that, in order to make more profit, the owner of the factory would one day replace the workers by robots. Now he is redundant. Now his share has become worthless; nobody wants to buy it back. Now the worker has achieved the American... Nightmare! Now he is free... to be destitute and rejected!
