There is a man who is a Japanese teacher in Saipan, an area occupied by the Americans. He receives a letter from his previous school's headmaster one day. It says, the teachers and students are low in motivation. It prompts him to return to Japan. The ill and bedridden principal is temporarily replaced by the vice-principal. The new man in charge is strict and not in favour of sports and less enthused about other activities. The teacher, however, emphasizes sports and clubs at the school. Students are less than energetic, their parents are in disagreement and other teachers are not helpful.
