我朋友的女人是一部喜剧片，Thales 這位成功的律師正在經理他的職業危機。他和在最有實力的律師事務所工作的Renata結婚了，這個漂亮的女人非常有錢，而且很有魅力，更重要的是，她工作的律師事務所就是她老爸的。在鄉下的一次週末，Thales 和他的妻子還有Rui、Pamela在一起，Thales作出一個決定，他決定不干了。這個決定震動了所有人。辭掉工作後，Thales 有了時間去閱讀，有時間去玩，並且愛上了了Pamela，當然他不知道他的朋友和他的妻子有多年的婚外戀情了……

In São Paulo, the lawyer, Thales, has been married to a wealthy and spoiled Renata for ten years. Her father, Augusto, is a powerful and amoral businessman who gave an excellent job position to his son-in-law at his law firm. Thales best friend is Rui, who is married to Pâmela and has three children, and tells everybody that his wife is a dumb person. During a weekend in the São Paulo countryside at Renata's fancy mansion, Thales has a breakdown and decides to quit working and stay in the house with Pâmela and her children. Renata and Rui, lovers for more than ten years, travel together back to São Paulo. Meanwhile Thales gets close to Pâmela and they have one night stand. Renata and Rui return to the house and she lies to Thales, telling him that Rui brought her back from Augusto's office. Things get even more complicated when Augusto calls.
