越过山丘是一部剧情片，夏日假期，父子三人到山裡探訪爺爺。地主爺爺因對鄰村牧人怒氣未消，宰了人家的羊烤來吃順便洩憤。兩個孫子，一個精神有毛病，一個只想玩槍桿；加上色慾薰心的老爸，跟女管家糾纏不清。在綠意盎然的山嵐間，莫名槍響劃破靜謐，子彈橫飛，究竟是源於自己人的報復，還是來自對面的敵人？倒吃甘蔗的黑色喜劇，足見導演細膩深埋的幽默諷喻。
