独立纵队2是一部剧情片，1940年10月，日军大举进攻龙泉县，八路军团长高翔奉命守卫龙泉县。高翔和日军激战三天三夜，最后仅剩下数十人，但城池未让日军攻下一分一毫。然而派来支援高翔的国军胡天华部迟迟未到，最终导致龙泉失陷。高翔和剩下的战士们来到龙牙山，遇到了正和日军交战的女匪首徐牡丹。高翔、胡天华摒弃前嫌，联手作战，帮徐牡丹击退日军。高翔服从上级命令，留下来招安龙牙山土匪；而一心想杀敌雪恨的胡天华也留下来拉拢土匪武装为其卖命。两股势力为了争取土匪武装在龙牙山展开交锋。在历经诸多磨难后，徐牡丹对高翔青睐有加，胡天华也被足智多谋的高翔所折服，和土匪一起加入了八路军。在高翔的带领下，龙牙山的土匪被改造成抗日劲旅“龙牙抗日纵队”，最终消灭了以加藤一雄为首的龙泉日军。
